Happy 4th of July 2009! What a fun weekend we had with Gramps, Nana, Uncle Paul, Aunt Tonyamas, Bryan, & Claudia! The weekend started with spending the night at Gramps' and Nana's house with cousins! Friday - Hannah and Bryan cleaned their wagons up for Saturday's 4th of July parade. Gramps got out the telescope for some star gazing and a look at the moon. Daddy, Gramps, Bryan, and Hannah set up the tent in the playroom for a camp out (a little too hot to sleep outside!). Saturday - 4th of July parade; Hannah and Bryan won for "Best Wagon!" Zander and Claudia received an "Honorable Mention." (smile) Daddy and Uncle Paul pulled the wagons in the parade. Hannah was set on giving away flags (although she said she was going to "sell them" - who says Capitalism is dead in America?!?) Zander decided to "duck down" at the end of the parade (see pic)...fatigue and a curiosity about Claudia's shoes and trying to pull them off made it difficult for us to get him to sit back up. Too funny! Next, we made a stop at the Rockwall TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party to hear Governor Perry speak and other civic and elected leaders (US Congressman Ralph Hall). The day ended with a grill out at Gramps' and Nana's and fireworks. What a GREAT day!
